LUCKNOW: Planting 25 crore trees a day is a tall order, but that is the goal Uttar Pradesh government has set for this year. The day when these trees could be planted is yet to be declared by the ministry.
The farm period begins with Van Mahotsav, which can be celebrated from the first week of July all around the nation, with an intention to create people’s associate with plantation.
UP will begin planting trees from July 1. It’d be over and above the goal of 25 crore trees.
Mission manager for statewide plantation, Mukesh Kumar stated,”District level committees are included to ensure successful farm”
District magistrates would be the chiefs and Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs) would be the manhood secretaries of the committees.
The committees will be responsible for ensuring the goal delegated to the districts are all attained.
Pre-plantation actions like analyzing the requirement for saplings, transporting and distributing saplings to both websites and post-plantation attempts to maintain and nurture the saplings are going to be taken care of from the committees.
Just like this past year, the top performing committee could be recognised and granted.
