BANKURA: A 36-year-old guy, who lost his job lately, hacked his spouse with a dagger at West Bengal‘s Bankura district following a struggle, after he died of suicide believing he had murdered her, authorities said Wednesday.
The episode occurred in Ramkrishna Pally at Mana Char from the Barjora police station area, they said.
Surjo Sarkar lost his job through the lockdown, after which he moved to depression. He frequently utilized to have conflicts with his wife Aparna then, local sources said.
Surjo also began seeing a tantric together with the expectation of becoming over his woes, he stated.
On Tuesday evening, Aparna (30) went into her dad’s place together with their three brothers and Surjo went to go to the tantric, authorities said.
Surjo named Aparna and requested her to return to the tantric too but she refusedthey said.
After this, Surjo moved to Aparna’s dad’s place, and introduced their daughters home.
As they continued to battle, Surjo murdered his spouse using a’katari’ (a little dagger) at the heat of the moment and likely thinking he had murdered her as she had been lying unconscious, he hung himself in precisely the exact same area, authorities said.
Aparna is undergoing therapy in a hospital, whereas Surjo’s body was sent for post-mortem, they stated.
