West Bengal Lockdown Zones: Seven-day lockdown enforced from 5pm in most containment zones of West Bengal | Kolkata News

KOLKATA: A seven-day lockdown was enforced in most containment zones of West Bengal in Thursday evening, official sources said.
Chief minister Mamata Banerjee had on Wednesday reported the lockdown will be set up for a week from 5pm on July 9, and the situation will be assessed.
She had led the authorities to cope with those nearing the criteria set in place in the aftermath of the relentless increase in Covid-19 cases.
The country’s containment zones along with the buffer zones around them have been clubbed together to constitute a’broad-based’ containment zone, in which the entire lockdown was enforced from Thursday.
