KOLKATA: Biswajit Karak, a constable of Kolkata Armed Police, supposedly committed suicide by firing himself out of his service rifle about 3. 35pm at Writers’ Buildings at gate 6.
He had been hurried into SSKM hospital where he was declared brought dead.
DC (Central) N Sudhir Kumar reported that the reason for suicide has been probed. Police are probing if he had been struggling with depression or some other significant disease because of he took the radical measure.
The Gate 6, in which Karak committed suicide, is traditionally utilized by the ministers such as Firhad Hakim (urban growth ), Moloy Ghatak (legislation ), Rajib Banerjee (woods ) who have their offices from Writers’ lands, as the fundamental gate is under restoration.
Many senior officials use this gate as other gates are currently closed.
The police officials are questioning Karak’s friends and coworkers. His spouse is a nursing team and also she was also contacted. Authorities are attempting to learn whether he had been undergoing any psychiatric therapy.
