KOLKATA: Cops probing to a two-year-old home loan fraud’ve arrested three persons, such as a important fraudster on Wednesday evening. They were created prior to a Salt Lake court and were remanded in four days of police custody.
Offcers of Bidhannagar authorities cyber crime division stated on December 2018, a senior officer of a nationalised bank in New Town had lodged a complaint regarding debtors that had taken home loan amounting to many crores but weren’t repaying EMIs and also an internal investigation had discovered that the borrowers as fake.
“Probing to the criticism, we eventually trailed the vital fraudster– Ratul Patra — and detained him from Howrah. He gave off the titles of two of the partners, Priyanka Saha and Sandipan Majumder. Both of these were detained,” said a senior officer of this commissionrate.
Explaining the modus operandi, ” the officer said that the men used to contact Aadhaar card and Voter I-card of a few men and forge them by printing their own photos on them. They then had to open bank account under the new identities and apply for bank loans. The officer stated they’re also probing into the function of some bank personnel maybe being a part of the gang that had eased them into disbursement of their house loans with fraud records.
