KOLKATA: A Covid-19 individual at Kolkata attempted to leap off a hospital construction on Saturday after breaking up the windowpane having an oxygen but was rescued by an alert health employee, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 9am in the Calcutta Medical College and Hospital, they stated.
The 56-year-old guy attempted to jump the next floor of this Super Speciality Block of the hospital after hammering the windowpane having an air cylinder, a senior officer said.
A courageous health employee saved him. We’re looking into the subject, ” he explained.
The man, a resident of North 24 Parganas district, has been diagnosed with Covid-19 about 10 years ago. Since that time he’s undergoing treatment in the hospital.
He’s been under severe strain for quite a while. He had previously defeated other patients at the ward. We’ve improved the vigil there, a source in the hospital stated.
