BJP requires 12-hour’bandh’ from North Bengal districts over celebration MLA’s passing | Kolkata News

KOLKATA: The West Bengal BJP leadership on Monday called for a 12-hour bandh in the districts of North Bengal on July 13 within the passing of BJP MLA Debendra Nath Roy.
The Hemtabad MLA Roy’s body was discovered hanging out his residence at the Uttar Dinajpur district earlier in the afternoon. After this, members and employees of this state unit of BJP staged a demonstration in Kolkata.
Before today, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Raiganj Sumit Kumar had said that the three men were appointed at the suicide note recovered in the pocket of the deceased MLA.
“Nowadays a case has been reported while the entire body of MLA Hemtabad Debendra Nath Roy was discovered hanging outside his home in Raiganj. The police group that went there, following an investigation found a suicide note in his pocket at which 3 individuals are termed as responsible for his departure,” Kumar explained.
“The household has recognized the handwriting as that of the deceased MLA. We’re looking into all of angles and proof. However, prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide,” he added.
West Bengal BJP had previously claimed that their chief was”murdered after which hung”.
“Body of Shri Debendra Nath Ray, BJP MLA in Hemtabad, a booked chair, at Uttar Dinajpur, has been discovered hanging just like this in Bindal, close to his village residence. Folks have the clear view he was murdered and subsequently suspended. His offense? He also joined the BJP in 2019,” BJP Bengal’s tweet .
