Kanpur: In a bizarre incident, a girl hailing from Kalpi city of Jalaun district, whose alleged murder contributed to jailing of six village individuals, was discovered alive and married, residing with her family at Aligarh.
According to authorities, the girl, who had been 14-year old then went missing 2008. A lost complaint was lodged at Kotwali police station. Few days after, the body of the unidentified woman was located in Ghatampur region of Kanpur district.
The woman’s mum then recognized the body as of her lost girl and also registered a complaint at Kotwali police station accusing six men of kidnapping and murdering her. She accused local authorities of biased mindset following the probe was moved stunt into the CBCID.
The situation took an intriguing turn when the lost woman, currently a 26-year old married girl, was discovered by Jalaun authorities in Aligarh after a complaint with a local politician.
The authorities brought the girl to Kalpi and then launched an investigation in this aspect. The girl could shortly be shown in court, ” said police resources.
“Through analysis by CBCID, a chargesheet was filed and afterwards, six individuals were detained and sent to jail. Among those accused died during trial 2012, while five others had been published later procuring bail,” a police officer told TOI.
Senior officials told TOI that murder charges against the five accused is now dropped and they’ll shortly be given clean chit.
“We’ve apprised CBCID who had filed a chargesheet in this relationship. The girl, who’s married today, will be made before a court in which her announcement is going to be listed,” SP Jalaun Yashveer Singh told reporters.
