Kanpur: 2 teenaged NDA (National Defence Academy) aspirants, who’d gone for sprinting workouts, died after falling off an overbridge because of an alleged hit-an-run with a car on the federal highway in Etawah district on Monday.
Based on authorities, Anmol (16) son of Ravi Yadav and Raj Yadav (16), son Santosh Yadav of Adda Nihal area under Ekdil police station, who had been preparing for choice in Army had gone for sprinting workouts in the National highway throughout the wee hours of Monday. “When they attained the overbridge near Ekta colony, a speeding vehicle struck both from back and they flung off and landed on the service road beneath — approximately 15feet below,” said the authorities.
Both, who happened to be cousins, had been hurried to the district hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival. The motorist together with automobile fled the area.
The authorities further said that the incident occurred around 5 am on the overbridge near Manikpur turn near Ekta colony around the Etawah-Agra National street.

While Anmol was a pupil of course XIth, Raj was chasing course Xth. “Both were planning for NDA examination, and frequently participate in sprinting workouts near the National street,” said Vikas, brother of dead Anmol.
