A component of Delhi Road was obstructed as stone and sand fell down through showers, and generating traffic snarls.
JAIPUR/KOTA/JAISALMER: Incessant rain at many areas in the country has proved deadly again as on Monday seven people died in several rain-related accidents. These individuals became victims of torrential rain that created chaos. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot requested the police to take all preventive measures to manage flooding or flood-like circumstance.
Gehlot had a meeting with the state disaster management ability (SDMA) and reviewed the situation at a variety of districts. Three groups of national crisis relief force (NDRF) and 20 teams of country disaster relief force (SDRF) are working to save and rehabilitate individuals affected by the torrential showers.
A 35-year-old guy who’d gone to get picnic with his family at Parvan River dam in Shergarh region under Mothpur police channel of Baran district drowned while taking a bath. “The guy identified as Habib, a native of Baran had gone along with his family Sunday in Parvan River dam. He drowned in the freezer. His body has been handed over to his family early on Monday,” said a senior police officer.
In another episode two sons and a daughter of a farmer drowned in a water tank and also expired. This episode happened under Sheo police station area at Barmer district when Rana Ram (15) and also Jasa Ram (13) slipped to a nicely. Their sister tried to rescue them and drowned.
Similarly, according to the state disaster relief force (SDRF) teams on Monday recovered the body of a 65-year-old guy named as Ladoo Lal Meena near Malana Dungar region in Banas river. “Your body was badly mutilated. We found just a couple of body parts because it had been eaten by crocodiles,” said an officer.
Additionally, two people drowned at a rain-fed river in Madanganj police station area of Ajmer while the body of a 12-year old boy who’s yet to be identified was also recovered by SDRF.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rain continued at several areas in the country on Monday. Rainfall varying from 10mm to 150mm has been reported from areas such as Sirohi, Jalore, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Alwar, Ajmer and Sikar.
