KOTA: The mutilated body of a 65-year old juvenile officer was recovered here on Sunday morning by the railroad tracks on the Delhi-Mumbai lineup in a supposed case of suicide, authorities said.
Virendra Singh Pathak (65) was found dead close Mala Phatak region under Bhimganjmandi police station limits of Kota town while his car was parked around 100 metres from the railroad tracks, Circle Inspector Harshraj Singh told reporters.
Authorities termed it that a prima facie case of suicide and passed over the body to his relatives following a postmortem. But, no suicide note was recovered by the deceased judicial officer’s possession.
Pathak was a resident of Saraswati Colony of town and had retired as additional district judge (ADJ), according to the policeman.
The officer’s car was discovered secured around 100 metres away from the paths, ” he added.
The judicial officer had left home in his car on Sunday morning to get a regular morning walk, he said.
According to eyewitnesses, a railroad engine handed over the trail around 4. 30 am on Sunday and also the judicial officer had probably jumped in front of it to commit suicide, the CI explained.
The authorities lodged a case of unnatural death under Department 174 (authorities to request and report suicide) of CrPC and initiated a preliminary investigation, he added.
