JAIPUR: New Delhi-headquartered ReNew Power has proposed to setup 2000 megawatt solar cell and module production plant in Rajasthan having a investment of Rs ,600 crore.
When the state authorities clinches the deal by providing the incentives that the company has hunted, this could be a very first solar cell production plant in Rajasthan, that has become a profitable destination for energy production .
ReNew Power, that builds, owns and operates utility scale wind and solar projects, has an operational capability of 740 MW plus a company pipeline of two,400 MW to be commissioned in the next year. In accordance with the proposal, the provider wants 40 acre property close a town using an established industrial audience with an inland container depot. Additionally, it has projected employment creation for 2000 individuals.

“Rajasthan is the perfect place for your company to prepare the plant since ReNew already has considerable solar energy generation projects. The production plant can match their producing projects. However, the destiny of this project is dependent upon the sort of incentives other nations provide,” said an official in RRECL.
The organization has sought further subsidies apart from what Rajasthan Industrial Promotion Scheme -2019 (RIPS-2019) provides and has cited that the advantages which the firms in China avail making their goods more affordable by 20-25%.
“The projected production facility will qualify for benefits under RIPS-2019. But given the scale and uniqueness of this undertaking, and also the necessity to become competitive in the international markets, we want extra incentives, concessions and exemptions from the authorities of Rajasthan,” the company said in the proposal. The business desires that comparable incentives be expanded to ancillary units to be put it up or other businesses to provide input materials for manufacture of solar cells and modules.
