JAIPUR: A 40-year old farmer of Losal of Sikar district, mercilessly murdered his 38-year-old spouse Sharda Devi having an axe after a heated debate on Wednesday morning. After murdering his wifeDharam Raj rode his motorcycle covering five km from Bhirana village into Losal police channel and confessed of his own offense.
The duo had got married 20 years back and have two teenaged sons.
Dharam Raj had returned in Muscat of all Oman a year or two back, where he’d worked as a labourer. After arriving from Oman, he began farming but had the habit of drinking. “He murdered his spouse under the influence of spirits and attained the police station in an inebriated state. Though other relatives were sleeping, he assaulted his wife with an axe,” stated Rajesh Arya, circle officer, Sikar rural.
The authorities have arrested the accused accountable for killing his spouse. The body was delivered to postmortem. When other members of their household heard the crying sound of Devi, they dashed outside. Devi was lying at the pool of blood with harm marks on her throat and face.
But from the first investigation, the authorities have discovered that Dharam Raj mainly spent her time away from the home and he had been having food someplace else. He had a strained relationship with his spouse. The authorities are investigating the issue to discover where Dharam Raj was able to spend the majority of his time prior to murdering his spouse.
The authorities are collecting evidence and questioning neighbours. They also have recovered the weapon used in the murder.
