Rajasthan man beaten to death for raping girl; eight held | Jaipur News

KOTA: A 30-year-old guy died allegedly after eight-nine relatives of a girl assaulted him with sticks, iron rods and rocks in a village at Rajasthan‘s Jhalawar district for ridding her, authorities said on Tuesday. Nine people, including the girl, have been reserved and eight of these detained in relation to the killing, they explained.
The episode happened on Monday noon at Sumer village beneath the Khanpur police station limits.
The dead man was identified as Tokiya alias Raju Bagri (30), a resident of Sumer village. He had been a notorious goon from the village and has been involved in many crimes and unlawful actions such as harassing and bothering girls in the village, Khanpur Station House Officer (SHO) Kamalchand Meena said.
Bagri had supposedly plagued the 22-year-old wed girl of the village on Monday a week, after that she lodged a case against him under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Her loved ones desired to avenge the action and teach Bagri that a”lesson”, the SHO said, ” he had been assaulted that passing through the road in the village.
Bagri suffered significant injuries in the assault and has been declared brought dead at the local hospital, he said.
On the accounts by relatives of the deceased, the authorities lodged a case of murder under divisions of the IPC against nine individuals identified as Ramlakhan, Nathulal, Siyaram, Dharmraj, Banwari, Dwarka, Prem, Lekhraj and the girl, the SHO said. He explained while eight of those accused have been detained, Dwarka is yet to be nabbed.
The authorities handed over the body to relatives following post-mortem on Monday afternoon, he added.
The eight accused could be made before the court on Tuesday day and remand because of their interrogation will be hunted, ” he said.
