JAISALMER: Hoteliers at Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur along with other cities are frustrated because their own resorts are indicated as quarantine centers by the authorities for Indians to be attracted from overseas, but the owners have yet to be informed till date should those taxpayers will be brought for their areas or not.
Much as the confusion remains, the government has given relaxations to open resorts, but these resorts suggested as quarantine centres cannot maintain tourists.
In May, the state authorities chose to airlift inhabitants of Rajasthan stranded in different nations under Vande Bharat Mission.
According to the instructions of the state authorities, the Jaisalmer district government recognized hotels and reserved them as quarantine facilities. Indians from Saudi Arabia have been attracted to Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. The prices of lodging and boarding were determined which the Indians remaining there in quarantine had to cover.
In Jaisalmer, 14 resorts were booked and the district government had advised the hoteliers regarding the SOPs and guidelines. But, 1 month has passed and no Indian citizen was attracted to Jaisalmer or even Jodhpur. tnn
