Rajasthan authorities moots Rs 200-crore update for SMS Hospital below Smart City | Jaipur News


JAIPUR: A Rs 200-crore plan was drawn up to enhance centers in Sawai Man Singh Hospital on the traces of AIIMS, New Delhi, by the state authorities under the Smart City Mission.
The program involves the building of a 15-storey in-patient department (IPD) in place of the present cabin ward and preparing a cardiology center. This was declared by UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal through the review of the proposed structure at SMS Hospital on Monday.
At the first stage, eight storeys of the IPD is going to be built at a cost of Rs 150 crore, with Rs 125 crore supplied from the Smart City Mission and the rest from the JDA and RHB.
Job would be developed lines of AIIMS: Minister
This job could take two years to finish.
“The IPD will have 100 deluxe cottages and 50 suites. ) Parking facilities will be available along with a cafeteria, food court along with an auditorium will be constructed on the upper floor. There’ll be an operation theater, ICU, post operative wards on each floor and an MRI and other amenities on the ground floor,” Dhariwal mentioned, teaching Smart City CEO Lok Bandhu to take out the garbage dunderrepot situated close to the hospital without any delay.
Health minister Raghu Sharma stated the job could be designed on the lines of AIIMS as a referral clinic. “All development work will be performed bearing in mind the prerequisites for the following 50 years. New branches for atomic medicine, sports medicine, genetic medicine and tropical medicine is going to be put up,” Sharma explained.
UDH secretary Bhavani Singh Detha stated,”With the growth of those centers, SMS Hospital will be the biggest referral hospital in North India. Beneath the Smart City Mission, medical centers will be developed in the government hospital at Kota for Rs 34. 64 crore. An OPD with 156 beds has been assembled at JK Lon Hospital, Kota, for the maintenance of children by UIT, Kota, at a price of Rs 56 crore.”
