The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has recognized 20 places in Jaipur Heritage and Jaipur Greater (10-10) each to install these kitchens. Likewise, 1 kitchen is going to be installed in 12 local bodies of Jaipur district. Across the country, 358 places for your kitchen have been put up after spending Rs 100 crore.
“The food will be available between 8am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm in the day,” said an official. An official stated,”To build up the infrastructure, the state government has offered Rs 4. 87 lakh to every operator. Each year, Rs two lakh grant will also be supplied. The price per plate is going to be Rs 20, but it is going to be supplied on subsidised prices. The consumer must pay just Rs 8 per plate. The operators will even keep social distancing and sanitise the kitchen frequently,” he explained.
Following the shift in program, the Congress government is set to overhaul the Annapurna Rasoi plot started by former chief minister Vasundhara Raje to serve meals at subsidised rates throughout the state. The main reason behind the move is the present Congress government wishes to give food to the poor after spending cash in a transparent way.
“Tracking of this strategy is going to be performed using technology. Those people that have cellular phones will be given a coupon through SMS. CCTV cameras will be set up for tracking,” said another official.
