JAIPUR: The state government has moved the energy for allotment of five prime bungalows such as Bungalow No. 13, the present residence of former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, to the home committee of the meeting by the general government division (GAD).
The parliamentary affairs division has also issued guidelines for MLAs that are qualified for from term allotment of their homes. Under the new rules, sacked former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot and former chief minister Vasundhra Raje will qualify for out of turn allotment of bungalows. According to observers, the conclusion was taken to bypass the contempt petition filed in the high court by writer Milap Chand Dandiya tough the allotment of bungalow into Raje in Civil Lines following the high court struck down it.
The parliamentary affairs division caused those changes through two alterations to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (Members Residential Accommodation) Rules, 1973.
Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (Members Residential Accommodation) (Second Amendment) Rules, 2020 stated,”The House Committee may after due consideration use turn allotment of proper home to the member who’s been (I) chief minister of the state of Rajasthan; (ii) Union cabinet ministry; (iii) ministry of state, government of India, and also at least three occasions Member; (iv) cabinet ministry of this nation and at least twice manhood; or (v) at least 2 times manhood of Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha.”
From the next amendment, it’d moved four bungalows into the pool of this state assembly from overall government department. It said following the present serial number 6, the following new serial numbers 7 to 10 and entrances thereto additional, specifically -” 7. I/24 Gandhi Nagar, Jaipur, 8. I/32 Gandhi Nagar, Jaipur, 9. B-2 Bhagat Singh Marg, Jaipur 10. 13 Civil Lines, Civil Lines, Jaipur.”
