JAIPUR: Solving an instance in which two unidentified persons decamped using a automobile on the pretext of a test ride, Kalwar authorities on Thursday busted the gang and captured 23 bicycles and 2 jeeps in their ownership. Police said that the gang had been largely working in Jaipur police district (West).
DCP (West) Pradeep Mohan Sharma stated,”Nearly 12 days past we have a complaint that two men contacted you Harphool Singh, a native of Sundariyawas village beneath Kalwar police station area and also desired to buy his jeep. They asked for a test trip to that the owner of the automobile consented. Along with the accused decamped with all the jeep.”
While resolving the puzzle, authorities gathered information and got some inputs from specialized surveillance. “We arrested two detained — Madan Kadva and Raju Gurjar — the two occupants of Mundiaramsar village at Bhankrota. They’ve confessed in the main interrogation they were into car lifting from Kardhani, Sadar, Karni Vihar, Harmada, Kalwad, Jhotwara, Shastrinagar and Muhana police station regions of the city. They’d done similar offense at several villages of Jaipur Rural district. 2 four-wheelers and 23 bicycles are captured in the possession of the accused,” said a senior officer.
Authorities said they may also inquire whether the gang immediately approaches the buyers later decamp with vehicles or else they also have mastered breaking the lock and then lift the car or truck. “It seems that this can be a brand new modus operandi as in lieu of test drive that they flee with the motor vehicle. We’re interrogating them to acquire finer details to the scenario,” he added.
