Five kept with illegal arms through specific performance in Jhalawar | Jaipur News


KOTA: At a unique operation against illegal guns and firearms, the Jhalawar city authorities in coordination with the district particular group (DST) detained five arms smugglers in NH-52 (A) on Monday. Police recovered 10 pistols, two country-made revolvers, 35 reside cartridges and captured two luxury cars .
“On inputs of distribution of prohibited firearms and firearms in Jhalawar town, a police group collectively comprised of Jhalawar town authorities and district particular group (DST) completed search performance in Khokhanda turn on NH-52(A) late on Monday night. They detained five individuals and recovered 10 pistols, two country-made revolvers, 35 live cartridges from their possession and also got two luxury automobiles they had been traveling ,” Jhalawar SP Kiran Kang Sidhu told mediapersons on Tuesday.
Spotting two luxury automobiles in Khokhanda turn on Monday night, the police staff urged them to stop but they tried to flee. Observing this, the group put a siege to nab them, she explained. On hunt of these luxury cars, authorities recovered guns and live capsules, ” she added.
“The five accused were identified as Irshad Hussain, Mohammad Nasir alias Shanu, inhabitants of Kota town, Mohammad Danish alias Bhaiya alias Ponga, Abbu alias Shaheed of Suket city of Kota district and Rakesh Meghwal of Machalpur at MP,” the SP said.
“The accused are yet to be interrogated regarding the origin of illegal guns and where they must be provided along with other instances they’ve been involved ,” SP Kiran Kang stated.
