A reasonable price store bearing fresh appearance in Chittorgarh district
UDAIPUR: The Chittorgarh version of’One Topic, 1 Style’ for ration stores to assess leakage beneath the Public Distribution System (PDS) was accepted by the state authorities and will now be duplicated in the rest of the districts.
All fair price stores across Rajasthan will have the identical layout, color and pattern of screen so they are easily recognizable from normal shops and the people are informed about the available products, inventory amount and cost.
Department of civil and food supplies chief secretary Hemant Gera has requested all of the district provide officers to execute the Chittorgarh version in their various locations. The idea has been mooted by DSO Beezal Surana, a recently appointed officer, afterwards she confronted annoyance in finding ration stores for review.
The machine was started in Chittorgarh in January and was finished in June. The purpose would be to weed out corruption and congestion at the PDS which proved a fantastic success.
Each of the 682 licensed ration or reasonable price stores were invisibly with uniform exteriors. The stores were given a brand new appearance with Yellow-Green oil-painted front wall bearing a Mahatma Gandhi charkha emblem and the’Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ motto. The brand new exterior wall includes a screen block for commodities using their costs and inventory availability that needs to be regularly upgraded. Also exhibited are permit holder’s name, particulars of the distribution workplace and helpline numbers. Gera within her correspondence taught all DSOs to apply the model for greater transparency in the machine and ensure uninterrupted supply of essential commodities to the needy.
