JAISALMER: Studying the raising Covid-19 instances at Barmer town and Balotara town , curfew was imposed in chosen places there for seven days in Friday. On the other hand, cases are rising in Jaisalmer too. Three BSF jawans of a battalion in Dabla were found positive on Thursday evening.
Cases are raising from the military too. Two cases are reported by Jaisalmer military channel, while two instances from military battalion in Pokhran. Jaisalmer district in-charge secretary KK Pathak at a meeting with officers voiced the need for greater attempts and gave necessary instructions.
District collector Ashish Modi and SP Ajay Singh one of other officers were present throughout the meeting. Barmer district collector Vishram Meena with respect to this lockdown beginning from Friday stated that in selected regions, where greatest disease was reported, that the prohibitory orders are enforced announcing zero freedom under Department 144, which will last until midnight of August 13.
He explained prohibitory orders are levied in wards 2, 3 , 10, 11, 32, 48, 49 and 50 in Barmer town and at ward number seven, 11, 16 and 30 at Balotara city. Collector explained that government offices, private offices, autonomous associations, gas pumps, LPG, post office, bank, insurance, government hospitals, private hospitals, veterinary hospitals, all of medical-related companies, medical schools, local dairy vendors and milk dairies will stay open, and emergency and law services will also stay open.
He explained from the allowed category, private vehicles of employees, vehicles of safety forces, on-contract vehicles (who must have legal vehicle ID or move ) can visit office and residence.
In funerals, maximum 20 individuals can participate. Personnel of petroleum firms residing in curfew regions can proceed after taking approval from district transportation officer or worried sub-divisional officer.
Based on Meena, save for the lockdown regions in Barmer and Balotara, staying markets will stay open according to the allowed period from 9am to 5pm. Likewise preceding system will prevail vegetable markets in both areas. Entry of overall public will stay prohibited and retailers and retailers using ID is going to be permitted to enter. There’ll be nighttime curfew from 9pm to 6am from the whole district according to the preventative measures and there’ll be complete prohibition on motion.
