JAIPUR: The neighborhood self-government (LSG) division has planned to set Indira Rasois in 352 places throughout the nation after paying Rs 100 crore.
According to the plan, these kitchens will be created near bus racks, hospitals and railway stations. The municipal companies, councils and municipalities are about the job to earmark the places.
An official stated,”To build up the infrastructure, the state government provides Rs 5 lakh to the operator. Each year, Rs two lakh grant will also be supplied. The price per plate is going to be Rs 20, but it is going to be supplied on subsidised prices. The consumer must pay just Rs 8 per plate”
Following the shift in regime, the (LSG) division is set to overhaul the Annapurna Rasoi strategy established by former chief minister Vasundhara Raje to serve food at speeds throughout the state.
The motive behind the move is the present Congress government would like to give food to the poor, after spending the cash in a transparent way. In preceding tenure, the state government spent roughly Rs 240 crore to give food 495 places in 191 urban regional bodies.
After coming to power, on UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal’s leadership, a group of officials moved to Chennai and also Bengaluru to research the Amma Canteen and Indira Canteen schemes, respectively, so as to examine their versions. Sources said that the group in its report had filed that the authorities can offer food to the poor in subsidised speed after making the cost on the present scheme half.
It was highlighted that beneath Amma Rasoi, food is offered at permanent structures rather than vans. In permanent constructions, fresh and hot food can be offered to the bad every moment, which isn’t true with vans. In addition, the number of this meals can be decreased or increased in accordance with the demand.
This will lessen the options of serving stale meals or wastage of food. The research further suggested that Rajasthan may replicate the version of Chennai and may offer employment to women engaged with cooking meals under the scheme.
