ALWAR: The state authorities has ordered the withdrawal of cases filed against individuals throughout the Dalit agitation on April 2, 2018 at Alwar district.
Dalits had gone on a rampage in protest against the Supreme Court order amending the SC/ST (avoidance of atrocities) Act.
Particular secretary (house ) Rajendra Kumar Saini issued the order August 14. After the arrangement, applications were registered in ADJ courtroom (No-1) in Alwar which arranged for its withdrawal of instances.
Incidents of stone pelting, arson and shooting had been reported below NEB police station throughout the agitation in Alwar district. Police had to fire at the atmosphere and lob teargas shells to disperse the crowd. The agitators set ablaze Kherthal police channel.
Two cases were registered in NEB police station against approximately 500 individuals for obstruction of government work, damage to government property, and attack police etc.. Police also recorded announcements of countless individuals.
Added public prosecutor Bhupendra Singh Shekhawat stated that the court had approved the program to withdraw two instances lodged in NEB police station throughout the Dalit agitation. Approximately half a dozen police personnel were injured in the violent mob assault in the NEB Police station.
