HYDERABAD: Former Union Mohammed Ali Shabbir of the Congress on Saturday urged the All India Muslim Personal Law Board to take up the problem of demolition of two mosques in the Telangana secretariat compound.
In a different announcement, Congress MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy hunted to inquire Asaduddin Owaisi of MIM and Bandi Sanjay of BJP are coming out with guns blazing against chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and TRS-government for the demolition of two mosques and a temple at the secretariat assumptions?
Jayaprakash Reddy stated that the BJP that’s regarded as a Hindutva party hasn’t taken any critical agitation against the judgment TRS except issuing statements regarding the demolition. Owaisi who hadn’t permitted movement of mosques for street widening during preceding Congress-government is presently making statements now and then but hasn’t come out publicly opposing the demolition of places of worship,” stated Jayaprakash reddy.
In a letter to All India Muslim Personal Law Board Chairman Moulana Rabey Hasan Nadvi on Saturday, Shabbir Ali stated two mosques and a temple were illegally demolished from the secretariat property. “I ask the Board to take up the Problem of Masjid-e-Hashmi and Masjid-e-Dafatir Mohammedia from the Secretariat on a direct basis,” he explained.
“I was the cabinet minister in YS Rajasekhar-government at the undivided state once the renovation of the mosques was shot up. The mosque near C-Block, Masjid-e-Dafatir Mohammadia was a part of Saifabad Palace, that was assembled 25 acres of property by Sixth Nizam Mir Mehboob Ali Pasha through 1888 AD and it was afterwards employed as Dewan (Administrative Office). The re-construction of the mosque started on 8th May, 2009 and was inaugurated on 9th September 2010 from Mufti Khaleef Ahmed, Ameer-e-Jamia Nizamia,” he explained.
“CM KCR wishes to build a vastu-compliant fresh secretariat complicated and so, he guaranteed demolition of the areas of worship together with secretariat buildings. The demolition was completed in an extremely covert fashion on July 8, 2020, and also no press as well as photography was permitted. The high tech structures across the secretariat were coated in order to prevent individuals from taking photos or videos of demolished structures,” he explained.
