GUWAHATI: Three overseas hydrocarbon well blowout specialists from Singapore-based company Alert Disaster Control were hurt in a sudden burst of flames while attempting to prepare capping a gas well of Oil India Limited in Baghjan in Assam‘s Tinsukia district, that was throwing jets out of fire and gas for nearly two weeks after a blowout.
An official announcement from OIL stated,”Now in the day, three specialists from M/s Alert specifically Anthony Steven Reynolds, Doug Dallas and Craig Neil Duncan suffered minor burn injuries while eliminating a bolt in the well head. The three specialists were provided immediate medical care from physician in well site and later they were chosen to burn section of Astha Nursing Home in Dibrugarh. They’ve been discharged after grooming of their burn injuries. It’s anticipated that operations will restart at Baghjan tomorrow”

Two fire fighters of OIL, Durlav Gogoi and Tikheswar Gohain had lost their lives following the well burst on June 9 after a blowout in the May 27.
