GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said he’s been diagnosed with a kidney stone.
Sarma said the rock was discovered during an ultrasonography ran on him after he complained of extreme abdominal pain.
“Following an episode of intense pain in stomach, physicians at GMCH have discovered a kidney stones measuring 3. 76mm through Ultra Sono Graphy at VUJ position. Taking saline and shots to conquer the pain. Will take rest for the afternoon,” the Union tweeted.
Sarma has been directing the nation’s struggle against the coronavirus, seeing quarantine centers, hospitals as well as tracking the entrance of Covid-19 patients into the healthcare institutions.
