Villagers depart flood-hit place on a ship in Morigaon district in Assam
GUWAHATI: The flood situation in Assam remained crucial with five persons losing their own lives, while almost 25 lakh people are affected by the deluge at 23 districts, a formal bulletin stated on Sunday.
Barpeta and Kokrajhar districts reported two deaths every and a single death was reported in Morigaon district, according to the daily flooding record of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
For this, the entire amount of individuals losing their lives in this season’s flooding and landslide has become 128 throughout the nation. Of these, 102 were murdered in flooding – related events and 26 in landslides.
Over 24. 76 lakh individuals are struck because of floods from Dhemaji, Sonitpur, Biswanath, Darrang, Baksa, Nalbari, Barpeta, Chirang, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Dhubri, South Salmara, Goalpara, Kamrup, Kamrup Metropolitan, Morigaon, Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Majuli, Sivasagar, Charaideo and Dibrugarh districts, ASDMA stated.
Goalpara is your worst-hit with over 4.7 lakh individuals affected. In Barpeta, over 3. 95 lakh men are influenced and at Morigaon, approximately 3. 33 lakh individuals.
The SDRF, district administrations and local individuals have rescued 188 individuals throughout the past 24 hours by deploying 101 ships throughout the state.
Until Saturday, over 26. 37 lakh persons were influenced by the deluge across 27 districts.
