Assam: 70 Covid instances reported by Raj Bhavan | Guwahati News


GUWAHATI: Seventy Covid-19 cases are reported by Assam’s Raj Bhavan at Guwahati, an official said on Sunday. Of the 70 instances, 27 were discovered late on Saturday and the remainder had tested positive because July 1, the Raj Bhavan official added.
The whole Raj Bhavan campus has been announced that the containment zone on July 4 after 2 staff members of the sheriff’s office had tested positive.
Governor Jagadish Mukhi, his spouse Prem Mukhi and 176 workers, such as security personnel deployed at Raj Bhavan and their relatives, were analyzed afterwards. One of those analyzed on July 1, two staff members were found favorable while the juvenile and his spouse tested negative.
Afterwards, the commissioner and secretary to the Senate, Meenakshi Sundaram, who resides outside the Raj Bhavan campus, tested positive.
Meanwhile, the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital superintendent Dr Abhijeet Sharma also tested positive for Covid-19.
