KAITHAL: The police have reserved a Kaithal rice miller and his accomplices for allegedly defrauding around 325 food grain dealers of Rs 40 crore. An FIR was lodged against him following the local grain market president and many arhtiyas (commission agents) hunted action to the topic.
Mittal, president of the Kaithal food grain traders’ body, stated,”Rice miller Ashok Kumar cheated almost 325 arhtiyas, that had been associated with him because long. We offered him along with his associates paddy after procuring against farmers at 2017-18, for that approximately Rs 50 crore was expected towards him. Afterward he cleared around Rs 10 crore, and then we sold him in 2018-19, but we’ve still not been paid Rs 40 crore plus he’s absconded.”
Mittal said the arthiyas were running from pillar to post to acquire the total recovered . In addition they approached the SP many times, and ultimately, a case has been filed against the accused after the intervention of local BJP MP Nayab Saini. “If police do not arrest him or don’t sort out the matter, arthiyas will strategy home minister Anil Vij and chief minister M L Khattar,” he further added.
Satyanaryan Sharma, an arhtiya, stated,”We seen with the miller’s house many times as arthiyas also require money to cover farmers. If the money isn’t recovered, a number people will be made to commit suicide.” The city authorities have booked five individuals — Ashok Kumar, Arun Kumar, Siddharth Miglani, Surender Kumar and Punam — underr related segments of the IPC.
