AMBALA: In a breakthrough against drug smugglers active from the Yamunanagar town region, the anti-narcotics mobile of Yamunanagar authorities arrested an individual after regaining 112. 02gm smack (heroin) worth about Rs 4 lakh from his possession on Saturday night, superintendent of police (SP) Kamaldeep Goyal said.
The detained accused was identified as Allah Banda of Atmapuri Colony of Old Hamida region.
SP Kamaldeep stated accused Banda was introduced from the district courtroom on Sunday, which sent him to some four-day police remand for additional investigation.
Meanwhile, on the criticism of ASI Rajesh Kumar, a case was filed against the accused under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Yamunanagar City police station on Saturday.
Yamunanagar anti-narcotics mobile in-charge inspector Mahavir stated,”The captured smack is the largest recovery up to now from Yamunanagar district and it’s worth about Rs 4 lakh.”
