KURUKSHETRA: The Kurukshetra authorities detained four accused household members of a 17-year-old woman on Tuesday who allegedly pushed her to the flesh trade and extorted money from people earning physical connections with her.
Arrested detained comprise the woman’s father, two uncles and a cousin, all inhabitants of Kurukshetra district told district superintendent of police (SP) Astha Modi.
These accused have been introduced from the Kurukshetra courtroom on Wednesday, which allowed their two-day police remand stated SP Astha.
According to the data, on June 15, 2020, a resident of Kurukshetra district lodged a complaint at Kurukshetra University (KU) police station.
The complainant said to the authorities,”I’d mailed my 17-year old daughter to my brother’s location in Kurukshetra. After on June 14, I moved into my brother’s house to meet my son, I came to understand that she left his house without notifying anybody. It came to light that the woman fled away with a person about the pretext of union. Formerly she’d returned from that the Child Care Institution at Ladwa too. Accused who shot the woman had previously threatened us that if we said anything to the woman, then he’d kill us.”
After registering a case in this matter, the authorities began the investigation.
SP Astha stated,”But during the analysis, some unexpected truth came to light that the woman has been forced into the flesh trade with her family only so they can target people who create physical connection with her to get cash. The family used to lodge complaints against their aims and afterwards utilized to repay the things after accepting money. After establishing the signs in this instance, we’ve detained four relatives of the woman such as her father, two uncles, along with a cousin.”
“From the past two cases, the accused relatives of woman have extorted enormous amounts from two individuals”, stated SP Astha.
“On Wednesday, four detained were introduced from the courtroom, which allowed their two-day police remand for additional investigation. Our teams will regain the amount extorted from the woman’s family members out of two individuals and additional research into this case is about”, said SP Astha.
