Union Ayush ministry transferred from Covid care ward | Goa News


PANAJI: Following 20 days of therapy, Union Ayush Union Shripad Naik was changed from Covid ward on Friday. He, though, will remain hospitalized for two to three months longer for respiratory treatment.
Dr Shekhar Salkar, chief of clinical services in Manipal Hospitals, in which Naik is being treated, said the junior defence minister was transferred of their covid care facility on guidance of Dr Randeep Guleria, director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
“He’s been changed out on guidance of Dr Guleria. In accordance with these, the virus remains active for 2 days. After 14 days, it’s not likely to be transmitted,” explained Salkar.
On Monday, Naik had tested negative beneath the TrueNat evaluation but in following RT PCR evaluation, Salkar said, he tested positive.
Naik was admitted to hospital August 12, a day later he contracted the virus. He originally picked to be under house isolation because he had been asymptomatic.
The AIIMS are tracking the marriage minister’s therapy and its teams visited Goa. Their last trip was on August 24 following his oxygen saturation level fell. But since then, he’s shown marked improvement.
