Nympha Fernandes of Benaulim
PANAJI: Benaulim-resident and 100% visually impaired Nympha Fernandes confronted a tough time at age 11. To ease her academics, Nympha needed to live 40kilometers from the home in the National Association for Blind (NAB) at Santa Cruz.
The lockdown because of this pandemic resulted in doubt regarding the state board examination program. When the dates were announced, Nympha needed to travel daily from Benaulim to NAB to continue to keep her test preparation going.
The battle eventually paid off if Nympha scored 73.3% in the Course X test on Tuesday. The teenager said she’ll now pursue her dream of being a historian.
“I’d expected to score 80%. ) However, I don’t have any regrets,” explained Nympha, that also wishes to keep her passion for singing, aided by her Youtube channel.
