PANAJI: Goa University (GU) was rated from the 26 into 50 group in the nation on Tuesday from the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) of those Union ministry of schooling. The varsity, however, pointed out that GU was wrongly categorised as a funded institution.
“Goa University is rated between 26-50 from the nation in a specific category. It is an important achievement. But, we’re wrongly categorised under Centrally Funded Institutions. We ought to have guessed under State/State Funded Faculties. We’d have rated higher if we had been rated under State/ State Funded Universities,” explained Goa University registrar YV Reddy.
The ARIIA was released with the Union ministry of education to rank all of important higher education associations and institutions in the nation on indicators associated with innovation and entrepreneurial growth among both students and faculty associates.
In June this year, if the National Geographic Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2020 was declared by the Union ministry of education, GU had transferred up 12 places to be rated 81 one of the 100 greatest universities in India.
