Strong winds uprooted trees in several areas throughout the taluka

POINGUINIM: Farmers at Canacona are stressed the recently transplanted paddy saplings might be ruined if they stay submerged at the bombarded areas for the following four to five times.
Incessant rain and water in the bloated Talpona river have contributed to flooding of low-lying regions in many areas of Canacona, affecting agricultural tasks from the taluka.
Strong winds also uprooted numerous trees, with a few crashing on homes and causing substantial loss to the owners. Narayan Komarpant from Patnem-Colomb endured a reduction of over Rs 10,000 following an old tree ruined his residence. A massive jackfruit tree crashed on a home at Ziltawadi, Gaondongrim, resulting in a loss of Rs ,000.
The Canacona fire station employees, who removed the fallen trees, stated they could save land value over Rs 25,000. They also said that trees had uprooted at Agonda and Khola, and the street has been blocked in certain regions.
