PANAJI: The Enforcement Directorate’s decision to attach land worth Rs 3 crore possessed by sarpanch of Socorro Sandeep Vazarkar has exposed the BJP’s corrupt practices once again, stated Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte.
Khaunte explained that the BJP, to acquire one-upmanship from Porvorim constituency, joined hands with Vazarkar regardless of the allegations of corruption levelled against the sarpanch.
“On the other hand that the ministry had promised the meeting that there’ll be a complete scale investigation to each of Communidade property catching and at precisely the exact same position he welcomed Sandeep Vazarkar with fantastic fanfare to the BJP,” explained Khaunte.
Vazarkar was a part of Porvorim Growing, an organisation with ties to Khaunte however as his function at the Serula Communidade land scam surfaced, he jumped to the BJP camp.
Three days before, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached a plot of land measuring seven,975sqm at Socorro using a worth of Rs . 19 crore in relation to the alleged illegal purchase of Serula comunidade property by Sandeep Vazarkar.
Khaunte inquired if Sawant would still continue to encourage Vazarkar regardless of the accusations and despite the lack of government consent for the property transfer.
“Having an authority such as the ED certifying the scam I’d love to request our chief minister he consistently supports individuals who have publicly been part of illegal actions be it property grabbing, money laundering, mining, and labor scam or quarantine tourism,” explained Khaunte.
