NEW DELHI: A executive scientist using the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) stopped being taken following a gun jammed when he was supposedly assaulted by a’Beldar’ on Wednesday afternoon in south Delhi’s Gulmohar Park region, police said.
The information regarding the alleged shooting effort was obtained at Hauz Khas police station at two. 30pm and also the’Beldar’ (employee ) was reserved, they stated.
“After hitting the area in MCD Office, Gulmohar Park, executive scientist Sunil Gehlot said the’Beldar’, Manoj Mandal, arrived into his office seeing a criticism and began arguing with him,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Atul Kumar Thakur said.
Gehlot alleged that Mandal took a gun out and attempted to fire, however, the weapon got jammed. Afterwards, he struck on the butt of the gun on Gehlot’s head and was able to escape, authorities said.
Mandal was contending with Gehlot over supplying him uniform. Gehlot received harm on his forehead, authorities said.
But, while running outdoors, Mandal fired from the atmosphere. An empty cartridge has been likewise found there. An instance under Indian Penal Code Section 307 (attempt to murder) and provisions of the Arms Act was registered and investigation obtained up, the DCP added.
There was no immediate response from the SDMC within the episode.
