NEW DELHI: The federal capital on Wednesday listed two,509 new Covid-19 instances, the greatest single-day spike in almost two months, taking the tally to over 1. 79 lakh, although the death toll mounted to 4,481, police said. Nineteen fatalities are recorded in the past 24 hours, according to the most recent bulletin issued from the Delhi wellness department.
The previous time Delhi recorded over two,500 new cases was on July 3 (2,520 instances ).
The town on Tuesday reported two,312 fresh instances.
The amount of active instances in the city climbed to 16,502 on Wednesday from 15,870 the prior day.
