NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday met the family of civil defence supply Arun Kumar who died because of Covid-19, also handed over an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore. Kejriwal said the Delhi authorities will guarantee that Kumar’s two kids finish their schooling.
“We are deeply grieved by Arun Kumar’s departure. Folks of Delhi are pleased with him. An ex-gratia of Rs one crore was awarded by the Delhi government to the household,” the ministry said after meeting Kumar’s household in Rajapuri area in Uttam Nagar.

Kumar was working as a civil defence supply and organized food to the poor throughout the lockdown.
“Arun Kumar did an superb job throughout the entire coronavirus lockdown period. He worked in virtually all of the sections, whether in hospitals, distributing food and elsewhere,” Kejriwal said in an announcement.
He cried to Covid-19 a couple of days back while undergoing treatment in a hospital,” it included.
