Arvind Kejriwal: Covid-19 testing to be summed up in forthcoming days | Delhi News


NEW DELHI: With the amount of Covid-19 cases inching nearer to the 50,000-markers, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday assured people that testing is going to be ramped up farther in the forthcoming days.
“Delhi residents won’t have any difficulty in getting analyzed for coronavirus. In the forthcoming days, more testing will be finished,” tweeted Kejriwal.
He made the comments by quoting a different tweet, which said that as many as 20,000 samples were analyzed from the federal capital on Thursday.
This arrived a day after rapid antigen testing started from the containment zones throughout the city.
The rapid antigen testing procedure involves searching for antibodies that are produced when the body is subjected to a pathogen.
A total of 7,040 individuals were analyzed via this methodology, from that 456 tested positive, the Aam Aadmi Party authorities stated.
On Thursday evening, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia had stated that testing has been conducted at 193 centers and that individuals living in containment zones were tested in the first phase.
