NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday issued directions for officers to make arrangements for temporary housing for individuals impacted by the EDMC’s demolition drive in East Laxmi Market region . According to a statement, Kejriwal visited the market place at which the municipal corporation was demolishing illegally-constructed buildings for its next successive day in compliance with the East Laxmi Market Master Plan street.
It said that the ministry said that a thorough analysis of the large court order is going to be finished, along with an appeal will be submitted after a careful evaluation of the situation under which the demolition orders were issued from the HC.
He issued instructions to the officers to arrange for temporary housing for those people affected by the demolition.
The announcement also stated that the demolition drive was declared on Monday from the light of their previous instructions of this Delhi high court to eliminate encroachments on the service road that’s also referred to as the Master Plan Road from the Laxmi Market region.
Until today, over 60 structures are demolished, which functioned as homes for the households in East Laxmi Market region.
