86-year-old girl raped in south west Delhi’s Chhawla region; detained, 37, detained;’extremely upsetting,’ states DCW | Delhi News


NEW DELHI: A 86-year old girl was allegedly raped by a guy in a mountainous place in south west Delhi’s Chhawla region , authorities said on Tuesday.
The accused Sonu (37), a plumber, is a resident of Rewla Khanpur. He’s been detained in relation to the incident, he said.
The episode happened on Monday evening once the elderly lady was on her way into a nearby village. Along the road, she happened to fulfill the accused who provided her elevator on his two-wheeler, a senior police officer said.
On the pretext of falling her safely in her destination, she took her to an isolated discipline and raped her,” he explained.
Deputy commissioner of police (Dwarka) Santosh Kumar Meena stated,”A case under section 376 (rape) of IPC was registered at Chhawla Police Station and the accused had been detained.”
The clinical evaluation of the victim was ran along with her announcement was recorded, ” he explained.
The girl is said to be stable today, authorities said, adding she had been discharged from hospital on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Commission For Women (DCW) called it an “extremely disturbing” case.
In accordance with this girl, she had been awaiting milkman at about 5pm on Monday when the perpetrator came and advised her the milkman wouldn’t come that afternoon and he will take her to where she would get milk, the DCW explained.
He even took the girl to a farm rather and brutally raped her,” it stated.
“The girl kept crying and crying that she had been of his grandma’s age. The perpetrator attacked her brutally if she attempted to resist him and raped her,” the women rights panel stated.
Neighborhood villagers hurried to the place after hearing the girl’s cries. They grabbed hold of the perpetrator and called the authorities, it said.
The girl was bleeding and at extreme injury. The natives called her son and the police afterwards took her for clinical evaluation, the DCW explained.
Her clinical evaluation report shows several injuries and bruises on her body, ” it stated.
DCW chief Swati Maliwal and panel member Vandana Singh met the survivor in her home at Chhawla on Tuesday.
“From a six-month-old woman to some 90-year old girl, nobody is secure in Delhi. The type of injury this girl had to confront obviously signals that the perpetrators of those crimes aren’t humans.

“I met with the girl now, she’s a very courageous lady. We’ll guarantee she has justice. This case has to be quickly tracked and justice ought to be served in 6 months,” Maliwal explained.
