COIMBATORE: A Covid-19 positive individual escaped by ESI Hospital at Coimbatore on Tuesday evening. The town authorities tracked the individual, who had been about 3-km-away in the hospital, with the assistance of his son.
Authorities stated the 55-year-old individual from Kundadam at Tirupur district has been declared to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital two weeks back for a kidney issue. Meanwhile, he developed flu symptoms as well as the health department team took swab samples from him on Monday. He tested positive for Covid-19 and has been changed to the Covid-19 care ward of ESI hospital on Tuesday morning.
About 5pm on Tuesdayhe escaped in the hospital and also called his son, asking him to pick him up at Singanallur. Meanwhile, his son contacted the Aathma Trust and delivered his dad’s details together with his photos.
After this, a group of authorities from Singanallur station started a hunt and discovered him on the Trichy Road. A 108 ambulance arrived immediately to take him back to ESI Hospital.
