Coimbatore guy arrested for trying to murder spouse’s relatives | Coimbatore News


COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore district authorities detained a call cab driver on Tuesday for trying to murder spouse ‘s relatives within a family dispute on Monday. The episode occurred in Mariamman Kovil Street in Vadivelampalayam close Alandurai.
The arrested man was identified as P Kumaresan, 30, a motorist from Molapalayam. He was booked under divisions 294 (b) (sings, recites or utters any obscene song, ballad or phrases near any public place) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
The authorities said Kumaresan along with his spouse, Sangeetha, got married a couple of decades back and they have a young child. Kumaresan is a alcoholic who emotionally and emotionally abused his wife. Not able to manage the abuse, she moved into her parents’ home at Vadivelampalayam ten days past.
On Monday night, Kumaresan seen his in-laws’ house in an inebriated state to bring his wife back home. But, his mother-in-law supposedly refused to let Sangeetha to proceed with her husband. Sangeetha’s cousins, R Karuppasamy, 38, a tailor, and also A Ajith Kumar, 25, intervened to encourage .
The battle escalated and Kumaresan stabbed Karuppasamy on his torso and abdomen. In addition, he stabbed Ajith Kumar on his belly prior to fleeing the scene. Karuppasamy and Ajith Kumar were confessed to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) immediately. Police stated Ajith Kumar was steady and Karuppasamy was fighting for his life.
According to Karuppasamy’s complaint, Alandurai police inspector Balamurugan registered a case against Kumaresan for trying to murder the duo and detained him. Further investigations were on.
