CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu recorded 5, 5 528 new instances of Covid-19 and 64 deaths on Thursday while busy instances stood at 48,482 after 6,185 individuals were discharged. The instance tally touched 4,86,052 while cumulative toll attained 8,154.
“We’re now gradually cutting down the disease rate in the country. The positivity rate is under 10percent in many sections of the state barring districts like Cuddalore. However, to keep up a very low infection rate, individuals need to follow pandemic rules — masks, social distancing and hand hygiene,” said health minister C Vijayabaskar.
