CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit on Friday tested negative for Covid-19.
A medical record by a town hospital, published by Raj Bhavan stated,”His grit and determination assisted in his speedy retrieval, and he continues to stay active.”
When Purohit walked from presidential package to main construction, his secretary Anandrao V Patil, ADC to governor Major Ajay PS Rathore, senior officers and team members clapped and welcomed him.
Anandrao also introduced a bouquet to Purohit at the existence of a health team.
The governor tested positive on August 2. He visited with the private hospital and underwent additional tests and evaluation. Considering that the disease was discovered to be gentle, the hospital guided him for house isolation and deployed a medical team in the hospital to track him.
Purohit, 80, assumed office in October 2017.
