MADURAI: The Madras high court on Monday led the Tuticorin district collector into depute sales officers to take charge of this Sathankulam police channel — that can be at the eye of a storm within the custodial deaths of P Jayaraj along with his son J Beniks — for collecting pertinent materials.
The court management comes following the Tuticorin main district judge, who’s closely monitoring the situation, informed it that employees in the police station weren’t cooperating with the Kovilpatti judicial magistrate (JM) question.
The judges led the assistant manager of the forensic division to deliver a forensic staff to help the JM in collecting the stuff.
The court stated the Tamil Nadu authorities shouldn’t seek its consent to move the case to the CBI since it’s a policy choice.
The high court is tracking the situation after shooting has taken suo motu cognizance of those deaths that the father-son duo.
