CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government has obtained Rs 83. 52 crore from PM CARES Fund to reinforce the present steps being accepted for the welfare of guest workers.
The state authorities on Monday declared Rs 41. 32 crore in your finance to all districts, such as the Greater Chennai Corporation, towards lodging centers, food structures, medical care and transportation arrangements for the employees, said a government dictate.
The Greater Chennai Corporation obtained the highest of Rs 13. 31 crore, followed by Tiruvallur (Rs . 68 crore), Tirupur (Rs 4. 41 crore), Coimbatore (Rs two. 76 crore) and Erode (Rs 1. ) 61 crore) districts.
Krishnagiri and Madurai districts were sanctioned Rs . 48 crore and also 1. 41 crore respectively.
The Union home ministry May advised the countries that aid of Rs 1,000 crore will be provided to the states and Union territories from PM-CARES Fund. The sum will be distributed via the National Disaster Management Authority into a committed independent bank accounts to be opened from the state crisis management agencies for additional distribution to district collectors/municipal commissioners.
Following a different bank account has been opened, a sum of Rs 39. 74 crore below the initial instalment and Rs 43. 77 crore since the next instalment was obtained by the state authorities, the order stated.
The central finance is published depending on the weightage of inhabitants of this country according to 2011 census, amount of Covid-19 instances and equivalent share for most states/Union lands to ensure basic minimum sum for all of the states.
The PM CARES Fund Trust was founded on March 27, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
