COIMBATORE: The Tirupur North police station has been briefly closed on Saturday following the wife of a sub-inspector of police tested positive for Covid-19. The authorities quarters where the few remain was closed.
The police station along with the authorities quarters were sterile.
The spouse, who’s functioning as sub-inspector of authorities in Chennai, returned into Tirupur at an automobile on June 24.
About June 25, swab samples were obtained out of thw girl and her husband, who’s employed as an SI in Tirupur North police station.
The evaluation result was announced on Friday evening. She tested positive for Covid-19 while her husband tested negative.
Swab samples were obtained from all of the police personnel attached to Tirupur North police station on Saturday.
The channel could be opened after obtaining approval from the health area, sources said.
Cops who test positive for Covid-19 will be admitted to some 50-mattress Covid-19 care facility setup in Veerapandi with the assistance of the district government, officials explained.
